I scratched my cornea somehow, and I couldn't see from my right eye! Everything was a blur. Minor headaches became extremely painful migraines, and I was convinced nothing could help my vision. Sight to me is very important because I am such a visual person.

Thinking surgery was my last option I went to see an ophthalmologist, but THANKFULLY he told me I came in at the right time-- an infection was growing in the gash in the corneal layer, but a strong dose of steroids in eye drops ought to take care of it within 10 days. He also said I should stop wearing contacts (not that I was!) so the cornea cells can heal too. I was so thankful I hugged him like a scared, lost child would after finding its parents.

And I'm all better now.
