I made brain cupcakes for my friend ~FrobozzZorkmid's zombie movie extravaganza yesterday. I got the idea from this image. These yellow cupcakes have vanilla frosting dyed pink, sprinkled with red food coloring for a bloody effect.

My original plan was a scene from the PS2 game Zombies vs. Ambulances, but that sounded like too much work with a sheet cake. Honestly, a zombie theme is very unappetizing but these worked out great!
